Colin was a very caring,loving,generous and giving brother and friend and always the first to help anybody out in any situation even from a young age.
He worked most of his adult life right up untill he was taken ill,at first nobody was sure what was wrong,he was getting alot of cramp's in his left leg and it was starting to drag and got more and more noticeable and painful as time went on,after months and months of tests doctors discovered he had a brain tumour on the right side of his brain which is why he was suffering on his left side.
He was taken for chemotherapy and radiotherapy to help reduce it in size,for a while it worked and he began to show signs of becoming himself again which was to last about a year,on occasion's he used to pop in to where he used to work and have a coffee with all the staff and it was at this point that he decided to return to work but just for a few hours on a saturday morning but this only lasted a few short weeks as he became poorly again.
He used to think it was rather attractive wearing his bandana and became attached to it,his sense of humour never failed throughout the whole ordeal and i dont remember him ever complaining about anything, he would get himself into situations where he couldn't get out of but never said anything unless you asked him.
He lost all use of the left side of his body and was having to use a wheelchair to get around at this point doctors decided to give him another scan and the results showed that the tumour had grown almost double its original size,throughtout all of his ill health mum and dad cared for him and he had a home help in every morning just to help him out of bed etc, he used to make them laugh with all the comments he used to come out with they all adored him.
He became more and more poorly as time went on and could do less and less for himself mum and dad were finding it hard to cope and so with his agreement and the agreement of the doctors he was to have a short stay in hospital,the nurse's and the doctors were all brillant with him for which we will be eternally gratefull,i can remember one time going to visit him and he seemed himself but was not,he was getting confused about alot of things but still kept a certain amount of humour,i had noticed that floating by his bed was a lovely balloon with a balloon weight on the end and i said to him "that's a lovely balloon col who gave you that?" to which he replied" u dappy cow thats two balloons" we continued for about ten minuites to discuss exactly how many balloons there were,but after all that he was in a way right there were two balloons its just one of them was just a weight,still to this day it makes me smile whenever i think about it.
He grew weaker and weaker and the hospital could no longer care for his needs so he was moved to another hospital a few miles away where on the 21st december at 2am aged 38 he sadly passed away.
I have alot of very beautiful and happy memories with colin for which i will cherish forever.

3 years have gone
its been 3 years since we last saw yr smile,
